I very surprised that Natalie Butler was not on the mid season list. she is blowing out records…leads that nation in Rebounds, average per game, tied in double doubles…Plus she continues to break and tie records at George Mason and the A10 Conference. sounds a little fishy.

I received your holiday wishes by email today. I know this is a generic message, but someone always take the time to personalize it to me. That means a great deal. This past August, I was inducted into the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame – as a Legend. I’ll be 80 in a month. At my age what else could I be but a legend? It is a great honor for me. I miss being on the committee, having been there since the beginning and having been a state chairman for so many years. Thanks, again and have the most wonderful of holidays.

My name is Greg Lee and I’ve served as state media rep for Idaho. I need to step down because I’m no longer working full time as a newspaper reporter.

    Thanks

I had the pleasure of working for Tommy Hawkins at both K ABC radio and also at KHJ TV in the early 1970s. I was very interested in sports and was able to attend several sports events for him with my portable tape recorder where I would interview various sports personalities. I would ask the questions and Record the answers. I would then turn over the tapes to Tommy where he would say "we asked….” And then play sports figure’s response. I did this for him for several years and also even went to Joe Frasier’s Hotel room to set up A voice interview with Tommy on KHJ TV.

He was always very kind and supportive to me as a young man trying to get more involved in sports scene in Southern California.

I want to vote for the incomparable Bonzie Colson of ND. How do I vote? Jay Bilas said this was easy? Maybe you should have Jay describe how it’s done. Thank you.

It is absolutely incredible that supposed basketball gurus would not consider UConn’ s Napheesa Collier one of the twenty best women’s basketball players in this country. Shame on all members of the committee.

Gabby Williams of UConn should be on your list. She is the most athletic player in the country who can guard all five positions.

Please consider Belmont University men’s basketball senior Evan Bradds for the Wooden Award Men’s Preseason Top 50. All-American Honorable Mention and Academic All-American in 2015-16.

I cover college basketball for The Roanoke Times believe that I have voted for the Wooden Award for the past 20 years. If I received notification this year, it came at an e-mail address to which I do not currently have access.

I am disappointed with the recent mention of Grayson Allen as a finalist for this award. I have seen replays of his 2 tripping incidences and do not feel that he would be someone that Coach Wooden would like to have receive this award. He was a man of integrity and fair play, not given to allow any

misconduct on the part of his players. He played the game, and coached with honesty, not dirty play.

    To whom it may concern:

West (By Gawd!) Virginia University is erroneously listed as the “University of West Virginia” under Da’Sean Butler’s school for the 2010 All America team. Sorry, there is no such school Please correct this on behalf of WVU alumni everywhere. Let’s Go Mountaineers!

Grayson Allen-Duke can-NOT be the award winner due to his repeated tripping of opponents, which would cause Mr. Wooden to roll over in his grave. What a shameful performance that unfortunately, reinforces to a young person that there aren’t consequences for bad deeds.

Cat Barber STILL isn’t on the list of candidates? Really? To repeat what Lefty Driesell once said about Len Bias, if Cat Barber ain’t the player of the world, then there ain’t no players. Of course that year the Wooden Award didn’t go to Len Bias either. SERIOUS QUESTION: Do the people that decide this award and the nominees even watch college basketball?
